You can never go wrong with an all white look against sun-kissed skin. Your tan immediately pops and you look effortlessly holiday ready. These photos were taken on the balcony in our room a couple weeks back in St. Maarten. I absolutely fell in love with that island. Everyone is so care free and happy, a drastic change from the always on the go, technology reliant world of Toronto. I’m not hating on the hometown, but sometimes it’s nice to get away and take a breather or two. Except with my camera… that’s one thing I’ll never need a break from. ūüėČ

Back in June, I visited Montreal for a week and while there, I had the chance to check out the annual Public Art Festival aka Mural Fest. It was the perfect backdrop for taking photos.

Surrounded amongst the colourful murals and vibrant pieces of art called for an all black palette and cool street style vibe. I added in a red lip and white converse shoes to pop against the dark outfit and to match the vibe of the city and it’s residents.

A few weeks ago when I went to Montreal,¬†I was rocking the bangs. Since then, they’ve grown out and are at that awkward length where they fall right into my eye. I’ve been wanting to try bangs for over a year now, and I finally had the guts to do it. I think it’s safe to say this style was a one hit wonder.

I met up with photographer Terrie (Ian), of IQ Photography in the early hours of the morning. It was so cool being able to walk through a sleeping city with the morning sun just beginning to shine, devoid of the usual hustle and bustle of city life.

This is the first look of three shot that day. I’m wearing a jean jacket from Bluenotes over top of a vintage slip dress circa the late 1960’s. The shoes I’m wearing are Ivanka Trump straight from the bestie’s closet (thank you!) and my sunnies are from Aldo.

Spontaneous weekend getaways are always the best. With the sun up and shining, and perfect weather upon us, staying the night in Niagara Falls seemed like a great idea. We stayed¬†at the Embassy Suites at Clifton Hill, even though we live only an hour away, and we got into full on tourist mode. We visited haunted houses, played glow- in- the dark mini golf, lazer tag and got lost in a maze of mystic mirrors. One of my good friend’s family owns a souvenir shop, Niagara Lemons, so of course we stopped by to see all the cute knick knacks they sell! We ended off the day wining and dining at a few restaurants around town and rode the Sky Wheel.

I started the morning off with an oversized Wildfox sweater and unbrushed hair. The mist rising from the Falls in the early hours was so serene while sipping on the first coffee of the day. When it was actually time to go explore, I opted for brushing my hair (ha…ha…) and throwing on the brightest piece of clothing I own. I paired it with a denim button down and light grey pants. Knowing I was going to be walking for a good portion of the day, I finished my look off with white converse shoes and mirrored lenses.
